Classic Tripoli Tour  4days / 3 nights     
 

Day 1  Tripoli – Medina
Arrival: You will be met at Tripoli airport by one of our guides to assist with obtaining your visas, and transporting you to the hotel.

Afternoon: Sightseeing tour of the city (including Marcus Aurelus Arch, Medina and Souk).
 

Day 2  Tripoli Museum / Sabratha

Tripoli Museum

Morning: Visit Aljamahirya Museum , exhibiting monuments tracing from the Germant, Roman, Greek, Phonecian, and Islamic civilizations that have historically inhabited Libya .

Next, we will visit the The Karamanly house. This house was built between1754 and 1793AD, during the reign of Ali Pasha Al Karamanly, and it is considered one of the most important historical houses on the street of Arbaa Arsaat. Karamanly used to live in the house with his large family, and it has thus become know as Al Hareem house.

Afternoon: Drive to the Roman ruins of Sabratha (62 Km.). Have lunch at a nearby restaurant before beginning the tour. Sabratha boasts one of the finest preserved theatres. Explore with a knowledgeable local guide, and close the tour at the Sabratha museum before returning to Tripoli .
 

Day 3   Leptis-Magna

Morning: Drive to the magnificent ancient Roman city of Leptis-Magna (120 Km.).

This wonderfully preserved Roman city was originally a Phoenician port, settled during the first millennium BC. Slaves brought gold, ivory, and precious metals to the city. In addition, the rich agricultural land surrounding the city, contributed to its great wealth. The Romans flourished until they were ousted by the Carthaginians, following the third Punic War. Again, the city flourished until the Vandals came through the city in 455AD.

You will again be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, who will fascinate you with the history attached to the many arches, bathes, shrines, basilicas and even courts/ theatres that you will discover in the city. You will also enjoy the Leptis-Magna museum before having lunch at Leptis-Magna.

Afternoon: Continue west along the seashore about 700m. We will visit the circus and amphitheatre, an ancient entertainment complex connected with a maze on tunnels. The complex includes a chariot-racing track, next to the amphitheatre, which used to host gruesome sports for the entertainment of the people. These gruesome games included throwing slaves in to battle with wild animals, and gladiator fighting.

We will also visit the beautifully preserved house Villa Silin, displaying wonderful mosaics and a stunning ocean view. Return to Tripoli.

Day 4  Tripoli

Morning: Touring old city souk.

Transport to the airport; Departure.

Sahara Tour 7 days / 6 nights
 

Day 1  Tripoli

Arrival: You will be met at Tripoli airport by one of our guides to assist with obtaining your visas, and transporting you to the hotel. Afternoon: Sightseeing tour of the city. 
 

Day 2  Tripoli Museum  / Sabrath

Day 4   Tripoli / Ghadammes
Set off to Ghadammes (600Km.) (via Nalut).
 
Day 5   Ghadammes
Morning: Touring in Ghdammes. This oasis town, located along the Algerian and Tunisian borders, is famous for its desert architecture. You will visit the old city, a labyrinth small enough to be completely covered on foot. The open squares and occasional overhead skylights that provide the little available light (bring a flashlight!) make the style of the old city unique to this part of the Sahara .Enjoy lunch in a traditional house.
Afternoon:  A (15 km) drive outside of Ghadhames will bring us to some decidedly non-spectacular Roman ruins on the 'Haunted Hill,' Ras al-Ghoul (yes, the English word 'ghoul' comes directly from the Arabic). Ruins aside, the hill is worth visiting for its vistas over the desert. While you are there, there is a lake nearby that is popular for swimming and picnics.
 
Day 6   Ghadammes / Tripoli

Return to Tripoli (via Kabaw & Gharyan).
 

 
Day 7   Tripoli
Morning: Touring old city souk. And Transport to the airport; Departure.

 

Sahara Tour  15 days / 14 nights
 

Day 1   Tripoli

Day 2   Sabratha / Ghadammes

Drive to the Roman ruins of Sabratha (62 Km.). Sabratha boasts one of the finest preserved theatres. Explore with a knowledgeable local guide, and close the tour at the Sabratha museum before continuing on to Ghadammes (600Km.) (via Nalut).

 
Day 3   Ghadammes

All day touring in Ghadammes. This oasis town, located along the Algerian and Tunisian borders, is famous for its desert architecture. You will visit the old city, a labyrinth small enough to be completely covered on foot. The open squares and occasional overhead skylights that provide the little available light (bring a flashlight!) make the style of the old city unique to this part of the Sahara. Enjoy lunch in a traditional house. Afternoon/evening excursion to the sand dunes for enjoying the sunset.
 

Day 4   Ghadammes / Tripoli
Drive to Tripoli (600 km) (via Gharyan). Flight to Sebha. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 5   Germa
Drive to Germa (120 Km.) lakes region, driving through the magnificent Sahara sand dunes.    Overnight in camp.

Day 6   Sahara Oasis
Touring in the Sahara oasis of Mandra,
Um- Al Maa & Gaberoun. Overnight at camp.

Drive to Matkhandush Valley. Overnight at camp.


Day 8   Matkhandush
Tour the valley and discover the spectacular ancient engravings. Overnight in the camp.
 
  Day 9   Idhan Murzuq
Drive to Idhan Murzuq (via Msak). Overnight at Camp.
 
Day 10 -12    Akukus
Day 10 - 11 -1 2 : All day touring in Akukus, where you will see spectacular rock formations, as well as ancient paintings & engravings. Overnight at camp.

Drive to Sebha then flight back to Tripoli).
